September 9th, 2011 marked the beginning of a new era of Indonesian Surfing.
At the luxurious rooftop SOS Supper Club of Seminyak’s Anantara resort, Surftime Magazine unrolled the Red Carpet to honor Indonesia’s finest surfers and the best of the best in the industry. It was a night of spectacular glamour, making clear that Indonesian surfing is growing up and her surfers with her and they are becoming key players on a global stage.
The day started at 8am, with a beach clean up sponsored by Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia and Air Asia. Thanks to the lifeguards, GUS, beach merchants, children of Yayasan Tat Twam Asi, Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia Staff, Power Balance staff and Surftime staff for cleaning up all the trash, making our beaches beautiful once again. Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia and all the sponsors are on our side to keep our ocean clean and our beaches pristine. Surftime also partnered with Rip Curl School of Surf to sponsor a learn-to-surf program with Tat Twam Asi Orphanage. The kids had fun and learned a skill that will last them a lifetime. Surftime is striving to show the next generation what it means to be responsible stewards of our ocean environment.
Surftime is committed to re-defining the Indonesian surfing experience on a global level. Indonesian surfers are pushing the limits of what is possible and Indonesia’s waves and way of life are more relevant than ever. Thank you for being a part of our Surftime family as we continue our Philosophy of positive action for Indonesian surfing and her environment.

Surftime was also proud to present a film screening with films by Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia, Air Asia, Oakley, Rusty, Insight, and Rip Curl. Next up was a Coke Retro- Dokoyo Fashion Show, then the Awards themselves and a second fabulous fashion show presented by Rip Curl and Insight. DJ Golddigger then took over and had the party raging until well into the morning hours. Not an event to missed.
Big plans are already underway for next year’s Awards so get your votes in next year and walk with us down the red carpet.
