Billabong Cherating Pro 2011

Following the previous two successful years, Billabong in collaboration with Satusuku Surf is proud to present the Billabong Cherating Pro 2011

The surf contest will be a three star event on the ASC Tour, with cash prizes and billabong products for the winners. the event is sponsored by Tourism Pahang, Billabong, Nixon, Von Zipper, Satusuku Surf and Residence Inn. The events open to all participants, both local and international, and the best surfers in the Southeast Asia region will be showcasing their skill in the Mens Open and Womens Open categories. The two day event offers fun for all family with live music, DJs, lucky draws, food stalls, family events and games, and a surf clinic for the kids to try surfing out for themselves!

Billabong’s international reach and access to the global surf community brings this popular event to global audience, with daily media release on Billabong Asia website and promotion throughout the Southeast Asia region. The Billabong Cherating Pro is strong supporter of Cherating and the surrounding area, and provides employment, tourism, and support to the local community.

In recent years the profile of Malaysian surf has been growing, due both to the annual competitive events and also to the number of international surfing magazines and notables invited to the region by Satusuku Surf in order to increase awareness of the region within the international surfing community.
