Sunday July 10 2011 at Seminyak Beach, Bali.
 
As an industry leader in core sports market, Oakley is pleased to announce the second round of the first Surf Tag Series in Bali, which will be held at Seminyak Beach (in front of QBS) on Sunday, July 10 2011 starting off at 7:00 am.  To date there are teams from Legian, Canggu, Pererenan, Keramas, Medewi, Kuta, Seminyak, Uluwatu and Nusa Dua signed up with more likely to show up.

In this Oakley Surf Tag Series, we have invited surf clubs from various surf spots in Bali to represent their home break, and their 5 person teams must consist of at least one surfer under 16 years of age, no more than one surfer seeded in the ISC’s Top 20, and no more than one non Indonesian citizen, in addition to the two others.  There will be a maximum of four teams surfing in each heat, and heat times will be timed at 50 minutes.

The top two teams from each heat will move on to the third round, which is expected to take place during the next two weeks if possible, or will occur during the Oakley Pro Junior in August at Canggu. The final two teams will battle it out just prior to the final of Oakley World Pro Junior October 2011 at Keramas.

The main objective of this event is to assist in the development of surfing at a grass roots level and encourage the creation of a club culture as a way to nurture the establishment of a competitive pathway to higher levels.

There will be prize pack from Oakley for the winners from each heat, while the overall winning team will all go home with Firewire surfboards.

Oakley Surf Tag Series

Sebagai pemimpin industri di market sport, Oakley dengan ini mengumumkan babak ke dua ajang perdana Surf tag Series di Bali akan digelar di pantai Seminyak (depan QBS) hari Minggu, 10 Juli 2011 mulai pukul 7 pagi. Tim surf dari Legian, Canggu, Pererenan, Keramas, Medewi, Kuta, Seminyak, Uluwatu dan Nusa Dua telah siap untuk bertarung di event tersebut.

Di Oakley Surf Tag Series ini, kita telah mengundang beberapa klub-klub surf dari berbagai macam surf spot di Bali untuk merepresentasikan daerah mereka, dan dari 5 orang dalam 1 tim harus disertakan paling tidak 1 surfer berusia di bawah 16 tahun, tidak lebih dari 1 surfer yang terdaftar di ISC Top 20, dan tidak lebih dari 1 surfer yang bukan berasal dari Indonesia, di samping dua orang lainnya. Akan ada maksimal 4 tim yang surfing di setiap heat yang digelar, dan waktu untuk satu heat yaitu 50 menit.

Dua tim pemenang dari setiap heat akan masuk ke babak 3, dengan ekspektasi akan dihelat dua minggu berikutnya jika memungkinkan, atau akan digelar di event Oakley Pro Junior bulan Agustus mendatang di Canggu. Kedua tim yang lolos akan bertanding sebelum babak final Oakley World Pro Junior Oktober 2011 di Keramas digelar.

Tujuan utama event ini digelar adalah untuk membantu dalam pengembangan olahraga surfing di level akar rumput dan sebagai sarana untuk mendorong terciptanya proses yang kompetitif di tingkat yang lebih tinggi.

Akan ada banyak hadiah-hadiah menarik dari Oakley untuk para pemenang masing-masing heat, sementara tim pemenang keseluruhan event akan membawa pulang Firewire surfboard.
