(Wednesday, 25th May 2011): Last week marked the opening of the 8th Billabong Concept Store in Indonesia on Jalan Kayu Aya, the main road of the budding, trendy Seminyak area.
“We have been cooperating with Billabong for a few years now and it’s been very delightful,” said Mrs. Siti, the owner of Blue Surf Indo. “Billabong is a really well known brand and the people are also very professional. We are really happy about opening another store with Billabong.”
The spacious 164m2 two storey store is built using recycled timber, and is a standout due to its organic and warm natural feel. The new concept store incorporates both the old and the new with natural sand wallpaper, strong black wood panelling and modern LED signage.
"Seminyak is a great little spot in Bali and we have wanted to do something there for a long time" stated Billabong Asia Brand Manager Peter Thew, "There's a really good mix of food, a strong mix of retail, and even a good little beach break in the right conditions down the end of the road... so we're stoked with the location".
The Billabong Seminyak store is the latest store in the brand's retail rollout plan through Asia, which is aimed at providing the youth with the most functional and relevant lifestyle and boardsport apparel in the market. For more information, visit the Asia website at www.billabong.com
