QUIKSILVER CELEBRATES THE GRAND OPENING OF ITS LATEST STORE IN THE PARIS VAN JAVA MALL OF BANDUNG IN WEST JAVA, INDONESIA

BANDUNG, 28 May 2010. PT Quiksilver Indonesia proudly presented the official opening and launch party of its latest store in the Paris Van Java (PVJ) Mall on Friday, May 28.

The exciting launch party kicked off at 3:00 pm with an amazing demonstration that was several of Indonesia’s top skateboard riders and BMX bikers going mental inside the mini ramp that was set up in the heart of the PVJ Atrium especially for this event.  The spectators were treated to non-stop action until the sun began to set, signaling the start of the evening segment of the event.

CEO of Quiksilver South East Asia Paul Hutson launched the evening’s entertainment with a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony, immediately followed by a fashion show of the latest Quiksilver, Roxy and DC Summer 2010 collections. It was standing room only in front of the store as the crowd swayed to the music and enjoyed the show. The free flow drinks and snacks were keeping everybody happy, and they didn’t even mind their wait in line to have 2008 Indonesian pro surfing champion and Quiksilver team rider Dede Suryana from West Java sign a poster for them.

To close out the evening’s entertainment, the amazing B-boy dancers wowed the audience with their spectacular moves.

After the event had wrapped up, a satisfied Hudson had this to say, “Bandung is well known worldwide as the Paris of Java. Many of Indonesia’s top designers, models and actors come from this beautiful city, so we are very excited about bringing the new Quiksilver, Roxy and DC product offerings to this trend setting market via our new store. We have specifically selected products from our global ranges and in particular styles from our European, United States, and Australian ranges. The products include apparel and accessories ranging from jeans, T-shirts, and walk shorts to hooded sweatshirts for Bandung’s cooler climate, as well as a full range of accessories such as handbags, travel bags and back packs.  And now with direct flights arriving from Bali and Kuala Lumpur, this store is sure to meet all the needs of the many new tourists’ arrivals.”

 Quiksilver is looking forward to opening more new stores in other major cities in Indonesia together with their Indonesian retail partner PT Gagan Indonesia, as part of its South East Asian expansion plan.  So look out for a new Quiksilver store coming to your town very soon!
